Maputo Weekender Overview

Mozambique has become a sought after and affordable travel destination in Southern  Africa. This beautiful country offers ramrants from the portuguese colonial age, as well as breathtaking unspoiled beaches abound. Our Maputo weekender tour gives you a glimpse of the warmth of the country as well as the energy of the City and the Mozambican people. A two day visit allows you to view a few historical sights, explore a night on the town and spend a leisurely afternoon on Maputo's Cosa De Sol while in indulging in a scrumptiuos feshly prepared seafood dish and shopping.

Itinerary

Day One

The first half of the day is spent on the road, travelling from Johannesburg, South Africa to Maputo, Mozambique. Frequent stops and good music ensure and enjoyable journey.

After arrival and check in at our hotel,  spend the afternoon, relaxing and refreshing before we hit the town for dinner and drinks.

After dinner, you can return to the hotel with the scheduled shuttle or spend the evening bar hopping and exploring the Maputo Nightlife

 

Day Two

Day two starts early with an optional guided walking tour around central Maputo where you can visit historical sites such as Cassa de ferro, the Tunduru botanical gardens, the old fort and famous train station.

The afternoon is spent on Costa de Sol beach front, where you can stroll on the beach, visit the local Mercado de peixe (fish market) or explore the the beach front restaurants and enjy some of the best fresh seafood dishes. 

The scheduled shuttle bact the hotel but you are free to visit the local hot spots and party the night away!

 

Day Three

You are forgiven if you cannot make it to an early breakfast!

Take some time to recover as we get ready to hit the road again
