Mauritius

a volcanic island nation in the Indian Ocean, is known for its beaches, lagoons and reefs. Located near the Tropic of Capricorn, Mauritius enjoys warm tropical climate, making it an ideal all-year round island destination.

Mauritius’ rich and diverse culture – born from heady European, African and Asian roots – is ripe for exploring. With no native population, Mauritians are all descendants of immigrants, which may explain the racial and religious harmony which is a cornerstone of the Mauritian society. There is a huge variety of ways visitors can explore and embrace the island’s culture, from colourful markets and vibrant festivals to temples and shrines.

This tropical paradise has something for everyone, from the perfect honeymoon destination, to a family vacation and a hot spot for adventure travellers.

Surrounded by the Indian ocean, this beautiful island also offers a lush landscape. Green tourism is growing rapidly through the number of reserves and “domaines” (estates) that are now beginning to open their doors to tourists. Together, they offer many activities ranging from trekking to canyoning to horse-riding, all offering exceptional panoramic views over the beautiful Mauritian landscape
